What is TAX111

Tax111 is a question and answer service designed for professionals (who are not tax experts) but who need to provide their clients with advice on questions they might not be able to answer.
Rather than turning business away or giving risky advice – you can call on Tax111 and receive the benefit of expert informed taxation commentary and advice when you need it most.
Your questions will be answered by BDO Spicers, an integrated professional organisation of accounting and consulting firms recognised for providing creative and innovative business solutions to clients in the areas of Assurance, Business Services, Consulting, Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Tax and Technology.
You can submit your questions however suits you best:

  • Call an 0800 number and speak directly to an expert
  • By e-mail
  • By text message
  • By fax
  • By video message

If an answer is provided by telephone, the answer can also be provided in an email if specifically requested.

You can contact Tax111 as many times as you need, but “heavy users” (subscribers who submit on average more than one question per week, monitored on a 3-monthly basis) may be charged additional fees.*

The Tax111 service is designed to provide straight-forward answers to operational questions you experience on a day-to-day basis. The service does not offer specialist tax advice in respect of planning or tax strategy issues.

If a question is too complex or outside the scope of the service BDO Spicers can refer you to one of their in-house specialists and provide a quote for the advice.
